Model: Complete spinal cord transection in mice, including a dual lesion paradigm in animals that had previously recovered from a spinal hemisection
Buspirone acutely increased step number, hindlimb coupling strength and hip angular excursion, and improved paw positioning at contact and paw drag. When combined with training in the dual lesion paradigm it produced long-lasting improvements in paw positioning at contact and paw drag.
